Krekers (Crackers)

Krekers — a Russian Rock&Roll band from the seaside Saint-Petersburg city is sailing steadily over the seas of immortal Rockabilly major notes. A part of their play-list is performed by the rules of the genre in Wild West language, and includes both their own compositions and the covers of Rock&Roll and Rockabilly classic hits by Elvis, Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash and many others.

At the same time Krekers successfully destroy the popular myth that Rock&Roll exists solely and exclusively in English. They’ve got a good deal of their own Russian rocksongs in their repertoire!

The instrumental line-up is laconic and time-proved including contrabass, drums, solo and rhythm guitars, vocals and sax.

Being just 5 years old the reckless band has already released 3 albums infused with mix of rock ‘n’ roll and swing, rockabilly and Johnny Cash style country. They are active habitual participants of various rock festivals held both locally and abroad, including global events in Estonia and Finland. Their songs has been engaged in TV-shows and serials, rotated on radio stations.

And their energetic melodies with wild saxophone, great three vocals and superb guitar licks are regularly inflaming the audience at the shows they give in their home-city rock-clubs and other show-venues throughout the giant Russia.

Krekers means great fun, wild dances and tails up!
